Bunny Watch!
Here at Binsteed we have decided to introduce animals into our programs, encouraging the children to learn about them, how to care for them and to play with them. There are many social and physical benefits of the children being involved with animals. For children pets can be a wonderful catalyst for socializing. Children are more prone to approach and interact with another child who is playing with an animal, so a pet can be the bridge between a less socially outgoing child and other potential playmates. One of the animals we've brought in for the children are rabbits, they live in our under 3's play park in their own pen where the children are free to look at them and staff members regularly bring them out for the children to play with. We understand that not every family has the room or money to have a pet, so this is a great way for your child to feel as though they have one whilst also learning the responsibilities of caring for an animal.
